Another great community event yesterday in Hayes Valley. Besides doing a lot of good work with the Clean City Coalition, and all the good people from organizations like Hayes Valley Neighborhood Assoc. and D5DOG, all who are doing great stuff in the community, (and I've been in contact with for quite a while) I had a great time meeting new people.
Heard one great idea from a HVNA board member: the city should sponsor competitions between neighborhoods for who can do the best job of a 'beautification project' on a limited budget. The winner could get a grant to do even more work. How cool would that be to have every year?
